Operations
Canada’s Marble is quarried by a local workforce, under the direction of Richard Sandseon, our VP of Production & Operations.  MacLeod’s hillside quarry is one of very few that operates during all four seasons.  Using diamond wire-saws, large sections of marble are cut continuously over many hours, and are further sub-divided and squared into blocks of standard size.  Large excavators and loaders manoeuvre the material and enable the quarry to maintain a steady rate of production.

At the base of the quarry, a production facility processes local orders for slabs, monuments, and cut-to-size products.  Wire saws, bridge saws, automatic polishers, and other tools are used to deliver high-quality marble products to customers across North America.

Larger or more complex orders for international destinations may be fabricated through our network of agents and processors in Carrara, Italy.  Containers of blocks are sent on ships to the center of the marble industry. Where emerging technologies are used to efficiently process each block. Apply resins to increase overall strength and durability, and treat Canada’s Marble with the utmost care.  Slabs are then inventoried and featured in showrooms, they are available for purchase to customers around the world, or are further fabricated into tiles or other cut-to-size products upon request.
